Today is a very special day. It just so happens to be my birthday:) I turned 20 today, what an odd age for an even number! What's supposed to happen when I turn 20? I'm no longer a teenager, but I haven't felt like a teenager for a while. I am young. I am healthy. I am BORED.
This is a major problem! I shouldn't be bored! I am 20 years old and I feel like I am suck in a routine in life of an eighty-year-old. School. Work. Homework. God has blessed me with a great life that I have taken for granted! I do not want to feel bored with my life, it is too valueable.
As a result of this 20 year revelation I have decided to start a New Project. Every day for a whole year, starting with today, I will do something new, something different that I have never done before and I will blog about it. It doesn't have to be a huge thing, but something little can count, just as long as I have never done it before. I am done with being bored! I have an awesome loving family and an amazing boyfriend (who is gone right now which is a big contribution to my boredom).
I am ready to live my life the way God intended!
And so today for my birthday, my dad took me out to Chickfila for lunch. As I excitedly explained to him about my new project, he smiled at my enthusiasm, looked to his left and picked up a piece of paper. He turned it around for me to see and it showed an advertisemnet for a new Chickfila milkshake. "Have you ever had a banana pudding milkshake?"
And thus I was honored to share a banana pudding milkshake with my dad as my first step into this new year! I can't wait to see what God is going to show me!
Psalm 23:6
Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
forever.
P.S. The milkshake was good, but it doesn't even come close to the peach. It probably couldn't even see the peach with a telescope.
This is a great idea Jenny:) I am looking forward to hearing about your new adventures:) I love you and hope you had a wonderful birthday!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kim! I'm excited about it!
